Stephen Wilbur, BA, LLB

Stephen was admitted to the New Brunswick Bar in 1983 and has been practicing law in the Moncton area ever since. He opened Wilbur Law in 1987 and has concentrated his practice in the fields of real estate law, corporate and commercial law and estate matters. Stephen is currently a member of the Law Society of New Brunswick, the Canadian Bar Association, and the Moncton Area Lawyers’ Association. He has been a long time member of the N.B. Law Society Real Property Advisory Committee and has lectured at the New Brunswick Bar Admission courses in regards to real property law. Stephen was raised and educated in the City of Moncton. He obtained his Bachelor of Arts with honours from Mount Allison University in 1979 and obtained his Bachelor of Law from the University of New Brunswick in 1982. Stephen has also been an active member of the Moncton community during his years of practice, serving in an executive capacity with the Moncton West Riverview Rotary Club, Moncton Headstart, Greater Moncton YMCA, Riverview Business Improvement Corporation and New Brunswick Golf Association. In his spare time, Stephen is an avid golfer and runner.
Lauren Trueman

Lauren E. Trueman is a partner with the firm and maintains a general practice. She was called to the New Brunswick bar in June 2020 and has experience successfully managing matters relating to real estate transactions, estate planning and estate management, municipal law, corporate law and transactions and non-contested family law. Originally from Aulac, New Brunswick, Lauren completed her articles with the firm after starting at Wilbur Law as a summer student in 2016. Lauren graduated from the University of New Brunswick Faculty of Law in 2019 and holds a Bachelor of Science (First Class Honours) in Psychology from Mount Allison University. While pursuing her Juris Doctor Lauren was the recipient of several awards and scholarships including Dean’s List, the Marie La Forest Scholarship, the Forging our Futures Law Award, the John Teed Prize in Civil Procedure, the Allen Earle Scholarship, the Harry K. Scott Scholarship, and the Lawson A.W. Hunter, Q.C. Prize in the Conflict of Laws. Outside of her studies and work Lauren has enjoyed being an active participant in community through volunteering opportunities with Moncton Headstart, the Greater Moncton YMCA and the Greater Moncton Women’s branch of the Canadian Progress Club, among others. She can often be found on weekends lending her skills in taste testing with the baked goods and homemade ice cream flavours at her family’s business, Trueman Blueberry Farms.
David M. Wheatley

David M. Wheatley is an associate lawyer with Wilbur & Trueman Law Offices maintains a general practice. He was called to the New Brunswick bar in June 2020 and is experienced in the fields of personal injury claims, civil litigation, wills and estates, employment law, and property law. Originally from Stratford Prince Edward Island, David originally pursued a career in the golf industry, playing collegiate golf in the United States whilst earning his degree in accounting, before turning his attention to the law in 2016. David attended the University of New Brunswick Law School, graduating in 2019, before joining a firm in Moncton specializing in Civil Litigation. He joined the team at Wilbur & Trueman Law Offices in March of 2023. Outside of the office, David can often be found at the park with his dog Riggs, or on the golf course, weather permitting.
